Kindergarten - 1st Grade

  • 2 boxes of Kleenex (we have lots of runny noses)
  • 1 extra change of clothes (we sometimes have accidents)
  • 1 potted house plant
  • 1 small blanket (for rest time)
  • 1 small pillow (for rest time)
  • 1 backpack (to carry papers home in each day)
Please make sure your child's name is on all clothing, backpacks, and lunchpails.

  • 1 set of felt markers
  • 3 boxes of Kleenex
  • 1 water bottle with name on it
  • pencils and pens (No Mechanical Lead Pencils)
  • erasers
  • crayons (box of at least 16)
  • scissors (small pair)
  • 6 folders to hold paper
  • 1 colored pencil set
  • 1 sm. box to hold supplies (9x12x2 inches)
  • 1 bottle of glue
  • 4 glue sticks
  • a notebook
  • lots of notebook paper
  • 3 journal composition book
  • a compass (for creating circles)
  • a protractor
  • a 12in./30cm ruler
  • a clipboard
  • a calculator
  • 1 Thesaurus Dictionary
  • Lots of Small post a note pads (1 7/8”)
Please put your child’s name on all items. There will be no sharing of supplies.



Writing Utensils
  • 2 pencils (regular or mechanical)
  • 2 pens (blue or black ink)
 
Paper storage/ note taking mediums
  • Binder with dividers (at least 4)
  • OR Folders with loose sheets of binder paper in one pocket.
  • 1 composition or journal-style notebook. (A spiral ring notebook is fine)
Make sure you have plenty of college ruled paper.
 
Tools and supplies
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Adhesive tape
  • Basic calculator having square, square root, and percentage functions.
Textbooks
Make sure you have a copy of each of the texts for all of your classes. They will be distributed on the first day of class
 
Miscellaneous
  • 1 combination or key lock for the lockers
  • Box of tissue for runny noses
  • Graph paper
  • Ruler
  • Compass (to draw circles)
  • Crayons or coloring markers
  • 1 badminton racquet (if new to the class)
Any other needed classroom material will be supplied or asked for as needed.
 

 
Each student in grades 1-8 will need a 1-inch, 3-ring binder, with at least three dividers.
 
Failure to bring their Music Binder to class will affect your child’s grade. Worksheets will be done in class, then graded, returned to the student, and added to the binder. No homework will be assigned in this class, but when preparing for a quiz or test, the student is encouraged to take their binder home for studying.
 
Band students will receive a folder to keep their music in. Please help your child remember to practice regularly at home and to bring their instrument and Band Folder to school on Fridays.
